The Dentists

Dr. Claudio M. Levato, DDS. 

Dr Claudio Levato has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years.  He will tell you that the most important thing he has learned over those years is that when you come to him, you are trusting him with something absolutely precious: your own smile.  He has dedicated himself to earning that confidence and rewarding it with consistently excellent results.

Dr Levato maintains a high standard of excellence by keeping abreast of the latest breakthroughs in dental care and technology.  He considers himself a perpetual student, continually pushing the envelope in his personal continuing education as well as his teaching and publishing.  He has lectured extensively at many major dental conferences and dental schools and is published in numerous national and international dental journals.

He is an active member in many professional organizations and has been selected as a Fellow in The American College of Dentists, The International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics, The Odontographic Society of Chicago and The International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Regardless of any accomplishments, it is always a humbling experience to realize that the more we study and learn, the more we realize how little we know.  We have to be content with giving our best and continue to persevere in our ongoing quest for better solutions for our patients’ needs and wants.

Dr. Sharon A. Levato, DDS. 

Dr. Sharon Levato believes your beautiful smile should last a lifetime and she will help you make that happen.  Beyond offering her own skill and expertise, she will take the time to teach you how to have an active role in your care.  She will also explain how to prevent painful, expensive problems in the future so you can keep your smile healthy.

After completing her education, Dr. Levato committed herself to ongoing training in the latest treatments and technologies.  She continues to refine her practice, regularly trading up-to-date information about treatments and procedures with colleagues at professional meetings.  This way she brings the collective experience of thousands of dentists into her own practice.  She also takes her philosophy of care and giving into community: in addition to her professional memberships, she has been a member of the District 25 School Board, the Citizen’s Advisory Council, and the Chamber of Commerce. 

Dr. Gilbert Abadilla, DDS.

Dr. Abadilla has a genuine appreciation for changing people’s lives through dentistry. He takes the time to get to know his patients and carefully listens to each patient’s concerns and desires. He is focused on achieving their ultimate goals and providing them with optimal long-term health.

Dr. Abadilla believes his patients deserve nothing short of excellence. He has made continuing education a high priority. He frequently attends lectures, participates in hands-on seminars, and does his training at world-renowned dental institutes. In fact, Dr. Abadilla has earned a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Abadilla takes great pride in treating his patients with the most advanced and comprehensive dental care.

Dr. Abadilla is an active member of many professional organizations including the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. In addition to these dental associations, Dr. Gilbert Abadilla is involved with the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce and St. Charles Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Gilbert Abadilla also volunteers as a dentist for the DuPage Community Clinic.

Ameer

Hi, I'm Ameer!  I began my dental career in 1993 in Northern Virginia as a Dental Assistant. I started my experience working with children, placing sealants & polishing teeth.  I soon began working chairside with the doctor and quickly expanded my knowledge of dentistry and the industry.  I continued to work in the field of dentistry for 5 years before making a move to Minnesota where I worked in Retail Management.  After a short period in Minnesota I soon moved to Chicago, IL; where my family is originally from, and continued working in Property Management.  After working several years in Property Management I soon found myself returning to the dental industry.  I quickly found a home here with Comprehensive Dentistry and have been a loyal and valued employee since 2003.

I began as a dental assistant with Comprehensive Dentistry and was given many responsibilities as time passed, from inventory management, limited IT support, minor equipment repairs, & OSHA administration.  After 3 years I was promoted to an Office Manager.  I very much enjoy working with each member of our team; their hard work and dedication to providing exceptional care make our practice a wonderful place for our patients to enjoy and feel welcome.

In September 2010 I wed my amazing wife Kelly, who I first met at Comprehensive Dentistry in 2004. My wife is a licensed hygienist in the state of Illinois.  We both love dentistry and the opportunity to care for our patients.

I hope to meet all of you and I look forward to providing the best service and care possible.

Michelle

Hi!  I’m Michelle, one of the Managers here at Comprehensive Dentistry, Ltd. 

I started my career in dentistry by accident when a friend introduced me to the dentist she was working for one summer.  When she went away to school, I took over as the dental assistant for the practice. 

After several years as an assistant I had the opportunity to learn some of the administrative skills related to running a dental office.  From there I went on to work as a Practice Management Consultant; helping dentists put systems in place to improve efficiency and achieve their goals for success.  After much traveling as a consultant, I left the firm and took a position as an Office Manager for a general dentist and have been managing ever since.

I love helping patients achieve their desired results.  I especially enjoy assisting patients with getting the most from their insurance benefits.

I currently reside in Downers Grove with my husband, Jason, our Schnoodle, Jazzy and our two cats, Jordan & Rodman.

Rebecca

My name is Rebecca.  I was born in Peoria, IL and raised in Michigan.  I attended Spring Arbor College in Michigan.

I began working in the dental field at the age of 19 for an orthodontist.  I have always enjoyed watching how dentistry can improve people's lives.

I joined the Comprehensive Dentistry team in November of 2007 and continue to put many years of dental experience to use at Comprehensive Dentistry.

My husband Ralph and I have raised 3 sons.  We enjoy trips to the park with our four grandchildren and listening to classical music.

Sarah

My name is Sarah, and I have been working in the dental field for about 10 years.  I have had the opportunity to work with many doctors, and experience many different aspects of the dental industry.  I began as an assistant, and have assisted doctors from different specialties, including oral surgery and periodontics. I further expanded my abilities by working in the administration area helping patients to schedule and coordinate their treatment.  I started working for Comprehensive Dentistry in September of 2009, and immediately felt at home.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and our dog Cooper!  We love to go for walks, ride our bicycles, see movies, and are active in our church. I have been blessed with an incredible family, and take every opportunity to enjoy what I can with them.

Stephanie

My name is Stephanie and I have been a dental assistant for three years now, I started my experience as a dental assistant with Comprehensive Dentistry in 2007. I attended dental assisting school at the Illinois school of health careers where I was certified by the state of Illinois. My certifications include dental assisting in general dentistry and specialty dentistry, sealants, fluoride application and CPR. I plan on furthering my education to become a dental hygienist as well.

On my spare time I love to cook, I do a lot of hobbies on the side as well. I recently got married last year and am enjoying being a newlywed! My husband and I have two adorable cats named Smokey (which has to be the biggest baby ever!) and my Meu (she is the most talkative cat ever especially when its time for breakfast!). We also are trying to expand our new family this year as well. There is just a little bit about me and I look forward to seeing you in our office soon!

My Name is Wendy Sanchez, I am one of the Dental Assistants here at Comprehensive Dentistry, I have been in the Dental field since 1992, I started doing it for High School credits, worked part time but since day one I loved it. Have had the privilege of working with the best of the best and have learned so much from each one of the them, but here at Comprehensive Dentistry I have found what I was looking for, am very lucky to have found Great Dentist that really care about their Patients and are here to create a nurturing and warm environment to all.

I live in Streamwood with my husband and 3 children, as far as hobbies go well 3 kids, a husband. Well let's just say they are my Hobby.

My job experience is 11 yrs working in the dental field. I'm still in the process of finishing my last 2 classes, and going on the waiting list for the hygiene program next year. My hobbies are biking, hiking, and any types of sports.

Erika

Hello, my name is Erika and I am a hygienist here at Comprehensive Dentistry. I grew up in a small town in Michigan and graduated from Ferris State University with degrees in dental hygiene and applied speech communication. In addition to providing comprehensive dental  care in a comfortable and nurturing environment, I am licensed to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation.

I was married on August 22, 2009 and live in Rolling Meadows with my husband Kelly and our Coton de Tulear puppy, Egon. I love spending time with my family and friends, enjoying warm weather and traveling.

Tony

My name is Tony and I'm the dental hygienist for Comprehensive Dentistry in St. Charles. I've been with the practice ever since they took over the practice in Nov 2007. I started as an dental assistant back in 1997 and it led me to my career in dental hygiene. I've been a dental hygienist since 2004. I went to College of DuPage for my education to become a regitster dental hygienist. It was great career move to get my degree in dental hygiene because it has been very rewarding every since! I enjoy helping people with their problems or concerns with their teeth. Having a healthy mouth is very important for the overall health of your body.

One of my hobbies is working on cars. Just think, I was going to become a auto mechanic before getting into the dental field!! I guess I like working with my hands.  I also enjoy doing home improvements around my house. I put in a pond, with a waterfall in my back yard. That was a big project. Yes, there are fish in the pond and I taught them to do back flips!! J/K. Doing yard work for me is relaxing and fun, but please don't ask me to do your yard. Not for hire.

Raquel Karpinski

Hi, my name is Raquel and I have been with the Comprehensive Dentistry family as a Front Desk Patient Coordinator since July 2011. Although relatively new to the dental field, I have always taken great pleasure in helping others and love being able to do that here. I am originally from Quincy, IL and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration. I have lived inRoselle for the past 15 years with my husband, two daughters and one Corgi! I love working with the incredible staff here at Comprehensive Dentistry. They truly care for each and every patient like they are part of their own family. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, everything to do with tennis-playing or watching, cooking and watching my girls play all their sports! I look forward to meeting you soon!

Cindy Strnad

Hi, my name is Cindy.  I have been with Comprehensive Dentistry since July of 2011, and although new to the dental field, I owned my own decorating business for 15 years and enjoy working with people very much.  Everyone here at the practice has been very welcoming and I look forward to coming to work every day. I have three wonderful boys and recently adopted a new dog named Sal. My hobbies are working out, decorating, scrapbooking and quilting. I look forward to meeting you in the very near future.

Enid McEvilly

My name is Enid and I have been in the dental field for 14yrs, 11 of which I’ve been a dental hygienist.  I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Bachelors in Dental Hygiene.  As a dental hygienist I have been able to work in some amazing places like Zurich, Switzerland and Newport Beach in Southern California.  I moved back to Illinois in 2008 with my husband and now have two beautiful little babies!!

I enjoy taking care of my patients and their individual dental needs.  I pride myself in my thoroughness and gentleness while giving treatment.  I am certified in local anesthetic, nitrous oxide, and laser therapy.
